Enhancing Dining Experiences Along the Coast of the Mediterranean
The Story
This concept presents a fully envisioned visual brand identity for Bésa Mediterranean Bistro, an authentic restaurant imagined along the Spanish coast of Málaga. The eatery celebrates the region’s charm and culinary freshness, serving locally caught fish.
Our Approach
We started by exploring the story and atmosphere behind the restaurant, its imagined history, the culture of Mediterranean cuisine, and the sensory experience of dining near the sea. From this research, we developed a palette inspired by natural elements along the coast, seaweed turquoise, sun-warmed neutrals, and hints of coral. The logo design integrates a subtle fish motif within the letter “e,” symbolizing the restaurant’s fresh, daily catch. From there, we built out a few supporting marks and badge-style seals for flexible applications across signage, menus, and packaging.
The Challenge
The goal for this identity was to help Bésa stand out among the many coastal restaurants that line the Mediterranean while creating a distinctive brand world rooted in authenticity and warmth. The visual identity needed to feel both elevated and inviting, blending the elegance of fine dining with the comfort of a local seaside experience.
